Human Resource Policy Division (HRPD)

The Human Resource Policy Division (HRPD) is one of the two core divisions of the Public Services Commission. HRPD has the following three sub-divisions:

  • Appointments, Discipline & Promotions (ADP) Dept.
  • Compensation, Benefits & Conditions of Service (CBCS) Dept.
  • Petitions, Appeal & Grievances (PAG) Dept.
Functions

Its main responsibilities are:

  • Prepare plans and annual budget of the (HRPD) and ensure their implementation to achieve the objectives of the Commission in the area of Human Resource Policy.
  • Formulate and periodically review policy guidelines on Appointments, Promotions and Discipline for all Public Service environments;
  • Conduct workshops, seminars, and conferences/meetings of stakeholders to collect and collate views for policy reviews on Appointments, Promotions and Discipline;
  • Formulate and periodically review policy guidelines on Compensation, Benefits and Conditions of Service;
  • Conduct surveys/research on economy-wide trends and changes in Compensation (salaries and wages), Benefits and Conditions of Service;
  • Establish a system for the compilation, collation and dissemination of information on Public Service Compensation, Benefits and   Conditions of Service; and
  • Conduct workshops, seminars, conferences and meetings of stakeholders to collect and collate views for the review of policy guidelines on Compensation, Benefits and Conditions of Service.
 

Events

The Public Services Commission   is organizing  the 6th Edition of its Annual Conference of Public Service Chief Executives, Chief Directors and Chairmen of Governing Boards/Councils  under the Theme “Changing the Mindset for Good Governance in the Public Services”
