The Management Services Division (MSD) is one of three Divisions created by the review of the vision, mission, objectives and organizational structure of the PSC.
FunctionsWithin the framework of its overall objective, the MSD performs a number of key functions and task as listed below:
To efficiently and effectively perform its functions and thus contribute to the fulfillment of PSC’s vision, mission and objectives, the MSD has three sub-divisions called departments. The departments are:
Management Services- Provide management consultancy service to Public Services upon request or in response to superior authority
- Conduct programmed management reviews to diagnose inefficiency in systems, procedures and techniques in management and recommend remedial measures to improve management practices
- Formulate and periodically review and disseminate best management practices to all Public services;
Performance Monitoring
- Establish and disseminate policy guidelines for thee establishment /determination of performance indicators/targets to ensure accountability and sound performance management in the public services.
- Formulate and periodically review performance monitoring framework for the various environments of the public Services
- Prepare annual performance report of the public services for submission to the Office of the President;
- Establish and maintain a computerized personnel data management system with application components for all public service environments;
- Prepare, document and disseminate public-service wide personnel statistics and distribution report.
